The Story

The Best Team All Year Didn't Win It

Cory's Diddys PR Team ran the regular season from wire to wire — best record in the league at 10–4, and by a wide margin the most points scored of any team all year (2,023.32). Every issue of the newsletter had some version of the same line: Diddy's PR Team, unshaken, efficient, absolute.

And then the playoffs happened. Diddy's PR Team never made the championship — bounced out before the final, settling for a 3rd place finish after a win over Lunchbox329 in the 3rd Place Game (148.92–145.94). Dominance in the regular season doesn't automatically buy you a ring, and 2025 made sure everyone remembered that.

Instead, the title came down to Kathy (Hurts'nForASquirts'n) and Mark (Celler Dwellers) — and Kathy took it, 102.20–95.80, capping a late-season surge after clawing back from a rough patch in Week 9.

💍 Plot twist nobody saw coming when the schedule was set: Kathy and Mark — the two teams that met in the Championship — are engaged to be married. Unrelated to fantasy football, but too good not to mention.
