League Bylaws

This page is the official record of all league rules and amendments. It will be updated as needed throughout the season.

1. Governance

• Commissioner Role: The commissioner manages league operations, settings, and disputes.
• Commissioner Vote: The commissioner does not normally vote, except to break a tie.
• Rule Changes:
  • Proposed by any member.
  • Discussed and voted on in Sleeper.
  • Majority vote decides (abstentions don't count as "no" votes).
  • Commissioner breaks ties.
  • All approved changes are logged below with vote totals.

2. League Structure

• Teams: 8
• Scoring: PPR
• Roster Format: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, FLEX, K, DEF, Bench spots
• Platform: Sleeper

3. Draft & Keepers

Draft Format

• The draft is non-snake (linear), like the NFL Draft.
• Draft order stays the same every round.

Draft Order

• Determined by the previous season's standings.
• Bottom 4 teams (non-playoff teams) enter the Draft Lottery for the top 4 picks.
• Lottery Balls System:
  • 5th place (best non-playoff team): 1 ball
  • 6th place: 2 balls
  • 7th place: 3 balls
  • 8th place (last place): 4 balls
• Lottery is drawn publicly before the draft to determine Picks 1–4.
• Remaining draft positions (5th through champion) are ordered by final standings.
• Draft order is finalized and posted at least one week before the draft.

Keeper Rules

• Each team may keep 2 players.
• Keeper cost = the round they were originally drafted.
• Traded players keep their original draft round cost when kept.
• Undrafted or waiver pickups cannot be kept.
• A player may only be kept for a maximum of 2 seasons beyond their draft year.
• Keepers must be declared one week before the draft.

Duplicate Round Keeper Rule

• If a team has two keepers with the same round cost, the second keeper is moved up one round earlier (a more expensive cost).
• Example: You traded for two players both originally drafted in Round 8.
  • One keeper costs your Round 8 pick.
  • The other keeper slides up to Round 7.
  • If that round is already occupied (another keeper or no pick available), the player continues sliding up until a free round is found.

Draft Pick Trades

• Draft picks may be traded.
• Pick trades apply to the round itself, not just the player.
• Draft pick trades must involve an equal number of picks to keep total picks per team balanced.
• Teams may only trade picks for the current and upcoming season (no multi-year future pick trading).
• All draft pick trades must be logged and confirmed in Sleeper before the draft.

4. Waivers & Trades

• Waivers: Rolling order (move to last after claim, never reset).
• Trades:
  • No commissioner veto unless collusion is suspected.
  • Trade deadline = [insert date].

5. Injured Reserve (IR) Policy

• Only players with an official IR or OUT designation from the platform are eligible for the IR spot.
• Once a player in IR becomes eligible to return, they must be moved back to the active roster before the start of the following scoring week.
• If a player is still in IR when the next week kicks off, that player will be dropped by the commissioner.
• Example: If a player comes off IR on Wednesday of Week 3, they can remain there through Week 3. But by Week 4 kickoff, they must be back on the roster or they'll be dropped.
• Enforcement: Managers are responsible for their own rosters. The commissioner will only enforce after the weekly deadline — no reminders.

6. Playoffs & Payouts

• Playoff Format: Top 6 teams qualify.
• Seeding: By record, then total points scored as the tiebreaker.
• Payouts:
  • 1st: $500
  • 2nd: $200
  • 3rd: $100

7. Conduct

• Participation: Managers are expected to set lineups, respond to votes, and remain active.
• Collusion / Tanking: Not allowed. The commissioner may intervene if league integrity is at risk.
